NOTE: Turnitin automatically reviews all Written Papers in this course for plagiarism. While a score of
less than 10% is optimal, it is required that your Turnitin score is in the “green zone” at the time of
submission. Academic papers should never be more than 25% cited from references even if cited
correctly. If your paper is not in the green zone (less than 25%), review your Turnitin similarity report and
make revisions until the green zone is achieved. Consider the use of abbreviations for frequently used
phrases throughout your paper. The similarity report will generate immediately after the first 3
submissions, and you may revise and resubmit until the due date as many times as needed before the
deadline (after 3 submissions, reports generate every 24 hours). The last paper submitted will be
graded. Plan and do not wait until the last minute to submit papers. Papers not in the green zone will not
be accepted, will receive an automatic 0, and are subject to plagiarism violations, which are recorded in
your permanent student record. To view your report, go to the grade book after you submit, you should
see your submission with a colored icon next to it. If you click on it, it will pull up your Turnitin report.
