1) There will be two extra credit opportunities offered this semester. An Article Review and a Leisure Activity Analysis. Both of the opportunities are worth up to 5 points each. Each student is only allowed to submit 1 of each item.

Article review: Students may choose a scholarly article related to leisure, an article not already an assigned reading for the class, and produce a summarization of the article. Along with the summary, students should provide a personal analysis identifying how the article relates to themselves; also a conceptual analysis identifying how the article relates to course material.

Leisure Activity Analysis: Students may choose to write a second “In Depth Leisure Analysis” about an activity they participated in during the semester. It cannot be written about the same activity they reported on in their original Leisure Analysis. Similar to the first assignment, the Leisure Activity Analysis extra credit should provide a narrative summary of the leisure experience, a personal analysis and a conceptual analysis.
