Using the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct as a Guide for Making Ethical Decisions

1. Review the attachments: The NAY Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment and assignment directions.

2. Write a paragraph identifying what it is and an explanation of why it is needed.

3. Read each dilemma in the assignment and respond immediately following the dilemma in red font. Then choose 2 principles and 2 ideals from the Code of Ethical Conduct that you could use as a guide when responding to each dilemma. Write out the complete principle and ideal. Then respond as to how you would respond ethically using the Code as your guide. I’ve done the first dilemma for you as an example. Keep the dilemmas as the prompts. Don’t delete them. Insert your responses immediately following each prompt.
