Round Table Discussion on the influence of the Founding documents (Declaration of Independence, and the U.S. Constitution, including the Bill of Rights) on the development of the International Bill of Rights with a focus on modern slavery (human trafficking).
Review the slavery and slave trade provisions of the International Bill of Rights (made up of the Universal Declaration of Rights (UDHR) and the Civil and Political Rights (1966) and Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (1966) treaties) and the U.S. Department of State’s annual Human Trafficking Report and focus on the federal government’s efforts (U.S. President and U.S. Congress) to address modern slavery (human trafficking).
